OUR ETHOS

Belle & Sun is a committed to reducing our impact on people and our planet. With sustainability in the forefront of each design, every choice made is with a considered and conscious approach. While we are ever evolving, we are proud of our current efforts in our journey navigating the clothing manufacturing industry thus far. We vow to continually improve and reduce our environmental footprint, as we grow and evolve.

Ethically Made

Belle & Sun collaborate with local and international manufacturers who adhere to our standards for ethical workplace practices. From our talented local artisans to our offshore manufacturing partners, we promote fair working conditions.

Fabric Sourcing

When sourcing for our designs, we choose stock fabrics to eliminate waste, recycled fibres, natural and organic yarns. We understand the importance of repurposing any excess fabrics or yarns, and always do so.

Knitwear Life Cycle

We believe in quality and view our garments as a long-term investment. Caring properly for your Belle & Sun pieces is the best way to ensure your knitwear will be long lasting, made for your enjoyment and then passed down.

Our curated drops and limited quantity runs are designed to limit waste. Belle & sun use stock fabrics, stock yarns & recycled materials with the commitment of reducing our impact on people and our planet.

We believe caring for your clothing has a positive environmental impact on the overall garments footprint. By purchasing higher quality, your garment will remain in wardrobes longer and out of landfill. It’s always better to repair a garment and extend its life before you replace it. In the near future, we hope to create an in-house program where older styles can be swapped and recycled.

Our Packaging

We use 100% compostable mailing bags when shipping orders. All garment swing tags and tissue is made from recycled paper.

We aim to completely eliminate single use plastic by end of 2024, by replacing our garment bags with plant based biodegradable bags, being 100% compostable and suitable for at home recycling.
